A middleweight clash between Cesar Almeida and Abdul Razak Alhassan will feature on the main card of UFC Vegas 101 headlined by Mackenzie Dern and Amanda Ribas later this evening (Jan. 11) at the UFC Apex in Las Vegas.
Almeida (6-1) is a Dana White's Contender Series alumnus who holds a promotional record of 2-1. He was most recently seen in a unanimous decision win over Ihor Potieria.
Meanwhile, Alhassan (12-6 and 1 NC) has had an unremarkable run in the UFC and is 2-2 and 1 NC in his last five outings. 'Judo Thunder' would be hoping to fetch his first win in almost a year, this weekend.
The oddsmakers see Almeida as a -258 favorite for the match-up, with Alhassan at a +210 underdog.

Alhassan explodes with powerful punches. He tries to force a takedown, but Almeida stuffs it. The Brazilian counters his opponent coming. 'Cesinha' seems to be the busier and more accurate striker, however, Alhassan's power is a factor of concern for Alemida.
Alhassan explodes with a right hand and sits his opponent down. Almeida coves up, defends, and gets his way back to his feet. A back-and-forth slugfest ensues and Almeida comes out on top, sparking Alhassan's lights out with a nuclear left hook. Wow!!! what a finish, perhaps even a KO of the year contender.
