Despite his victory over Mauricio Rua, Ihor Potieria was on the receiving end of criticism from MMA fans around the world.

'Duelist' took on the MMA legend in a light heavyweight fight at UFC 283. What added weight to the contest was that it was 'Shogun's' last UFC fight and was taking place in his home country of Brazil.

Unfortunately for Rua, his last outing ended on a sour note as he lost the fight to Potieria via first-round knockout.

Potieria's post-fight dance did not sit well with many MMA fans, who felt the celebration was disrespectful towards 'Shogun'.

MMA personalities as well as fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on Potieria's celebrations after his victory over Rua.

Tanner Boser slammed the Ukrainian's actions and hurled insults at him on Twitter:

"You don’t do that stupid dance bulls*it when you beat a legend like Shogun in his final fight you fu**ing d*ckbag."

Belal Muhammad and Al Iaquinta also did not hesitate to show their disapproval of Potieria's post-fight dance.

Stephen Thompson also chimed in on the issue. 'Wonderboy' said that although he was not a fan of Potieria's actions, 'Duelist' might have done it in the "heat of the moment."

"Definitely not a fan of the disrespectful “celebration” by Ihor… could have just been heat of the moment but still Rua is a legend that deserves only respect! #UFC283"

I have to thank my fans, everyone, Dana [White], Lorenzo [Fertitta], everyone in the UFC that made it happen through all these years." [via translator]
