Umar Nurmagomedov's manager issues 'deportation' threat to Conor McGregor, warns against cornering Paul Hughes 

Umar Nurmagomedov's manager recently issued a stern warning to Conor McGregor for cornering Paul Hughes. The individual brought up McGregor's legal troubles, claiming that Hughes and his team could be deported if they chose to have the UFC superstar on their side.

For context, Hughes is set to challenge Usman Nurmagomedov for the Bellator lightweight title on Jan. 25 at Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai. According to The Mac Life, 'The Notorious' agreed to go to Dubai to corner Hughes for the main event, dubbed as Dagestan vs. Ireland 2. Therefore, there's a good chance that the former two-division champion will meet his old rival Khabib Nurmagomedov, who has frequently been spotted in the corner supporting Usman.

Unfortunately, McGregor has been in a tough spot after he was found liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in 2018. MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz, who manages the Dagestani fighters mocked the Irishman's recent situation in an X post and strongly cautioned Hughes for having the 36-year-old on his side, writing:

''I hope Paul Hughes will not try to bring McGregor with him to Dubai, it will not be a good look for him and probably both him and his whole team will be deported''

McGregor was summoned to the civil court last week after Hand accused him of forcing her into a hotel in Dublin. However, the UFC icon pledged his innocence by saying that their meeting was consensual. The court ultimately decided in Hand's favor and mandated that McGregor pay over $250,000 in damages.

As for the MMA scene, McGregor's last octagon outing was at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier, where he broke his leg in the first round. After recovering, he was scheduled to face Michael Chandler in a welterweight bout at UFC 303, however, the former champion withdrew due to a toe injury sustained while training. He's expected to return next year.

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently advocated for a cryptocurrency dubbed '$CONVICT,' which was created by the X account @convictmg in response to Conor McGregor being liable for assaulting Nikita Hand in 2018.

@convictmg's X post announced that the funds would go to individuals affected by McGregor. Nurmagomedov reposted it and took a dig at McGregor, writing:

''Good job guys , you have my full support, this guy deserve punishment''

Although the post and bio of @convictmg state that the fund will donate to victims, there is no proof to support this claim.
