The UFC flyweight world champion 'Bullet' Valentina Shevchenko loves ONE Championship. The Peruvian-Kyrgyz fighter comes from a background in Muay Thai and kickboxing, so she recognizes great striking talent when she sees it.

In an interview with Sportskeeda MMA, Valentina Shevchenko commented on the organization and some of its 2023 events:

"I’m very happy to hear about the partnership between ONE and Lumpinee Stadium. I think it’s a great move for the whole Muay Thai world. ONE is the greatest organization in Asia."

ONE has partnered with the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand. The inaugural ONE Lumpinee event is booked for January 20, 2023, and will feature Nong-O Gaiyanghadao looking to defend his Muay Thai throne against Alaverdi Ramazanov.

'Bullet' added:

"I really enjoy watching their fights and following them on Instagram. I think their concept of showing fighters in competition, in training, and in real life is very interesting. It attracts more and more fans from all over the world."

ONE Championship boasts some truly international fighters. Proudly, the organization has athletes from the Philippines, Thailand, India, China, South Korea, Senegal, Uzbekistan, the USA, Brazil, England, Italy, Mongolia, Cuba, Japan, and many others.

Valentina Shevchenko's Muay Thai and Kickboxing background

'Bullet' Valentina Shevchenko recognizes extraordinary Muay Thai, kickboxing, and MMA as she is an expert in all these disciplines, which is why she enjoys watching ONE Championship.

Before debuting in MMA, she held kickboxing titles in Kunlun, WAKO, and many more. In Muay Thai, she captured world titles in places such as IFMA and World Combat Games, among others.

Shevchenko loves watching the most talented strikers on the earth compete, and she will certainly enjoy watching ONE Championship in 2023. It kicks off with a showdown between kickboxing kings at ONE on Prime Video 6 on January 13.

Headlining this event will be pound-for-pound great Superbon Singha Mawynn looking to defend his ONE featherweight kickboxing world title against a two-time K-1 world champion Chingiz Allazov. Allazov won the ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Grand Prix earlier this year to earn the right to challenge Superbon for his belt.

Additionally on this card will be Thai superstar Stamp Fairtex facing off against multiple-time Muay Thai and kickboxing world champion Anissa Meksen. This will be a mixed-rules super fight featuring two fighters with decorated backgrounds in Muay Thai and kickboxing.

Valentina Shevchenko also spent time training at Tiger Muay Thai alongside ONE fighters such as the two-division world champion Anatoly 'Sladkiy' Malykhin and Fabricio Andrade. Andrade will be looking to capture the ONE bantamweight throne when he battles John Lineker at ONE on Prime Video 7 on February 10.

'Bullet' has recently shared her training with ONE stars. She's worked alongside Indian wrestling talent Ritu Phogat, as well as ONE women's strawweight world champion Xiong Jing Nan.
