UFC stars the likes of Henry Cejudo, Aljamain Sterling, Khamzat Chimaev and Georges St-Pierre graced the recent PFL championships at the Hulu theater in New York City.

The event was headlined by Kayla Harrison and Larissa Pacheco, with the former PFL champion losing her trilogy fight against Pacheco via unanimous decision.

Some of the most interesting highlights of the event took place outside the octagon, with Henry Cejudo facing off against Aljamain Sterling and Ali Abdelaziz standing by.

This is sure to excite UFC fans considering recent reports that 'Triple C' is indeed coming out of retirement to face the current bantamweight king, 'The Funk Master.' Ali Abdelaziz recently seemed to confirm to John Morgan that his client, Cejudo, will face Sterling for the title next.

Another intriguing highlight at the event in New York was the link-up between Georges St-Pierre and Khamzat Chimaev. In an Instagram post made by the Chechen-born Swede, he referred to 'GSP' as a "Legend" in the caption.

'Borz' is expected to make his return to the octagon soon, with Dana White confirming the promotion's intention to book the Chechen-born Swede against Colby Covington. However, Chimaev has since also issued a call-out to middleweight champion Alex Pereira. It remains to be seen who 'Borz' faces next.

Henry Cejudo to face Aljamain Sterling for the bantamweight title next?

In a surprising turn of events, MMA manager Ali Abdelaziz seemed to confirm that Henry Cejudo will fight Aljamain Sterling next for the bantamweight title. This comes after 'The Funk Master' seemingly brushed off rumors of him facing the former champion in his comeback bout.

In an interview with John Morgan, Abdelaziz claimed:

"Aljo is fighting Henry Cejudo. It's done. The UFC said it's done. He knows it's done."
Bold claims and breaking news from @AliAbdelaziz00.First, the bold claim regarding Islam @MAKHACHEVMMA:"Islam, respectfully, he will stop Alexander under three rounds."Next, the breaking news with @HenryCejudo:"Aljo is fighting Henry Cejuo. It's done." https://t.co/lv59EmIQsC

After months of back and forth between Sterling and Cejudo, the reigning bantamweight champion maintained that he was not interested in fighting 'Triple C' and instead preferred someone like Sean O'Malley to draw bigger hype.

In an interview with MMA Junkie in October, Sterling stated that he'd prefer to take time off until mid-2023 and that Cejudo can "go kick rocks."

β€œI’m not fighting until mid-year next year... I earned my time off so Henry can go kick rocks. Let me ask you, are you excited to see Sterling vs. Cejudo? Are you most excited about that matchup for the next title shot at 135? Is that the biggest fight for you as a fan of the sport?”
