ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai world champion Allycia Hellen Rodrigues shocked the world when she beat the highly revered Stamp Fairtex to win the belt back in 2020. Stamp won both the ONE atomweight kickboxing and Muay Thai world titles in her first year in the promotion.
Coming into her fight with Allycia Hellen Rodrigues, however, Stamp had already lost her kickboxing world title to Janet Todd a few months prior. Still, the odds suggested the Thai star was the favorite against the Brazilian under Muay Thai rules.
While the first three rounds were razor close, Rodrigues started pouring on pressure in the championship rounds. By the end of the fourth, Stamp was clearly wearing the damage on her face.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues was an absolute tank that night. Stamp was being a buzzsaw, throwing everything in rapid succession. Eventually, the tank flattened the buzzsaw.
The Brazilian world champ pressed the action in a steadily increasing manner, which became overwhelming for the Thai striker in the latter rounds. Allycia Hellen Rodrigues won the bout via majority decision.

Allycia Hellen Rodrigues to defend world title against interim champ Janet Todd at ONE Fight Night 8
At ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24, a massive world title unification bout between Janet Todd and Allycia Hellen Rodrigues will take place for the ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai world title.
The fight will be Todd's attempt at winning a second world title in as much weight class, having already won the ONE atomweight kickboxing belt in the past.
It's been nearly three years since Rodrigues laced up her gloves. The Brazilian world champion took some time away to focus on giving birth to her beautiful son in late 2021.
Meanwhile, ONE Championship set up an interim Muay Thai world title bout between Janet Todd and promotional debutant Lara Fernandez. Todd soundly won the contest, which set up the unification fight.
Todd and Rodrigues were originally scheduled to fight last December at ONE on Prime Video 5, but the American striker had to pull out due COVID-19. Now that both competitors are primed and ready for their bout, the fate of the ONE women's atomweight Muay Thai ranks will finally be settled.
