When talking about the illustrious history of ONE Championship, one athlete who played a massive role in the promotion's early years is Aung La N Sang, who had one of his most memorable performances happened in June 2018.

At ONE: Spirit of a Warrior, 'The Burmese Python' was out to defend his ONE middleweight MMA world championship for the first time against Japan's Ken Hasegawa happening in the world titlist's backyard of Myanmar.

Hasegawa was out to deliver an insane promotional debut as he took the fight to the two-division MMA world champion, landing some heavy-handed strikes that forced Aung La N Sang to reevaluate his attacks.

Despite the seemingly unstoppable onslaught that Hasegawa presented him, Aung La N Sang toughed it out to endure throughout the five-round war and finally put away Hasegawa in the final frame with a full-force uppercut.

The pair would run things back nearly a year later in March, but this time it was a stunning TKO victory for Aung LA N Sang to log his third successful defense of the middleweight MMA world championship.

Aung La N Sang issues warning to potential opponents

Now 38 years old, Aung La N Sang knows that a new generation of fighters has joined the ONE Championship roster, though it does not mean that any of his future opponents should take him lightly.

Aung La N Sang recently spoke with Sportskeeda MMA and said the following with steely determination:

"I believe I can knock out any man with the four-ounce gloves."

The Kill Cliff FC product's record stands at a formidable 15-4 under the world's largest martial arts promotion and is currently on a three-fight winning streak, with him finishing Yushin Okami and Gilberto Galvao via TKO and in his most recent outing being a submission win over Fan Rong last May.
