American BJJ star and ONE women's atomweight grappler Danielle Kelly did an excellent showing at ONE on Prime Video 4 last weekend. The Jiujitsu Blackbelt made short work of multi-time sambo world champion Mariia Molchanova on the lead card of the November 19 event.

Danielle Kelly did so in a fashion that would put UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling to shame: she climbed Monchanova like a human backback. Once Kelly had her legs in a figure-four bodylock on the Russian sambo grappler, the end was nigh. It was only a matter of time before she got one of her arms under Molchanova's neck and forced her to submit.

Danielle Kelly calls out Angela Lee after massive win at ONE on Prime Video 4

After winning her submission grappling match and a sweet $50,000 performance from ONE, Danielle Kelly made a bold move and blatantly called out ONE women's atomweight queen Angela Lee. The Silverfox BJJ Blackbelt seemed to want to face the MMA world champion in a submission grappling match:

“Angela called me out, said she could submit me, so come prove it. I’m ready.”

Lee and Kelly have been on a verbal collision course since the 26-year-old submission grappler joined ONE earlier this year. With a dominant performance at ONE on Prime Video 4 under her belt, Kelly is slowly making a good argument that a grappling battle between her and 'Unstoppable' is something people will pay to see.

Lee has mentioned publicly that she believes that she has the skills to beat Kelly in a submission grappling match and might even submit her. This caused Kelly to take offense and verbally retaliate in her interviews. This is how their beef started, which has gained more traction and hype in the months that followed.

We have to admit, a submission grappling contest between the two should be an exciting affair to witness. Better yet, why not turn it into a mixed-rules bout? Rounds 1 and 3 will be under submission grappling rules while rounds 2 and 4 will be under MMA rules. This will raise the stakes even higher and will allow both fighters to showcase their expertise while also breaking new ground. Danielle Kelly has expressed interest in eventually transitioning to MMA in the future, so why not test the waters with one of the best MMA world champions today?
