Former UFC heavyweight Greg Hardy made his bare-knuckle boxing debut last night at Bare Knuckle FC's Knucklemania 3. Hardy signed with BKFC in June 2022, and made his debut against Josh Watson.

Watson had a BKFC record of 1-1-0 prior to Knucklemania 3. Hardy was brutally knocked out in round two, despite being the overwhelming favorite. 'Prince of War' was caught with a crisp left hook that sent him crashing to the canvas and he failed to stand up inside the 10-count.

Greg Hardy is a former professional NFL player whose football career spanned five years. Following his retirement from football, Hardy took up the sport of MMA. He began competing in amateur competitions in 2016 before featuring on Dana White's Contender Series.

After winning both fights on DWCS, Hardy fought at Xtreme Fight Night 352, where he defeated Rasheem Jones before being signed by the UFC. His record inside the promotion is 4-5-1, but following three defeats in a row, the former professional football player was released from the promotion.

Former UFC title challenger loses Bare Knuckle FC debut

Former UFC title challenger Diego Sanchez also made his BKFC debut at Knucklemania 3 last night. He faced former WBA super welterweight champion Austin Trout and was defeated via TKO following a doctor's stoppage.

Bare knuckle boxing is more likely to open cuts on the head and face of a fighter due to the lack of padding on the hands, which are only wrapped and tapped. For a fighter like Diego Sanchez, who has built up severe scar tissue around the face, a BKFC fight is likely to be a bloody-affair.

During last night's bout, Trout opened a nasty cut on Sanchez's forehead which forced the doctor to stop the fight.

Sanchez is regarded as a legend of the sport and holds an MMA record of 30-14. 'The Nightmare' was the first-ever winner of The Ultimate Fighter and also competed for the UFC lightweight title against fellow legend B.J. Penn.

Sanchez left the promotion in 2020, before signing with Khabib Nurmagomedov's Eagle FC promotion. He faced Kevin Lee at Eagle FC 46 before migrating to BKFC.
