It’s safe to say that throwing hands with someone as powerful as John Lineker is not a task for novices. ‘Hands of Stone’ is one of the hardest-hitting fighters in the lower weight classes of MMA. He didn’t earn that moniker for no reason.

In a recent video released by ONE Championship, John Lineker’s trainer learned the hard way that you shouldn’t hold the pads too close to your face. Chances are, you’ll get clocked on the chin by your own hand.

“Pad-holders are underappreciated 😅 John Lineker returns to rematch Fabricio Andrade for the vacant ONE Bantamweight World Title on February 24 at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video! 🏆@johnlinekermma

The strike isn’t even Lineker’s strongest weapon. The former ONE bantamweight world champion threw a spinning wheel kick that didn’t look like it was thrown with full power. Still, the impact knocked the pad holder’s head back. Imagine this kick hitting him with full force. No more pad holders.

Tune in to see if Lineker attempts this kick and more as he rematches Fabricio Andrade at ONE Fight Night 7 tomorrow, February 24.

John Lineker gets a shot at redemption at ONE Fight Night 7

Former ONE bantamweight world champion John ‘Hands of Stone’ Lineker will get his shot at redemption at ONE Fight Night 7. The heavy-handed Brazilian had quite a disappointing final quarter of 2022, as he lost his belt in the worst way possible.

In his first bout with rival Fabricio Andrade, 'Hands of Stone' failed to meet the weight requirement and was subsequently stripped of his world title. His inability to make weight disqualified Lineker from winning the belt at ONE on Prime Video 3.

In the fight, Andrade hurt Lineker with a solid knee to the body. Upon going in for the kill, 'Wonder Boy' accidentally hit ‘Hands of Stone’ with an illegal groin shot. The impact was so powerful that it shattered Lineker’s groin guard. The bout was declared a no-contest, and no one was declared a world champion.

With the chance to run it back and redeem himself from the fiasco of the first fight, John Lineker is scarier than ever. In a short video put together by ONE Championship, we are treated to what could be in store for us come ONE Fight Night 7:

""Hands of Stone" looks to regain the vacant ONE Bantamweight World Championship 🏆 in an EXPLOSIVE rematch with Fabricio Andrade on February 24 at ONE Fight Night 7 on Prime Video! 👊@johnlinekermma"
