ONE flyweight kickboxing king Superlek Kiatmoo9 has been on a tear recently, winning four straight bouts inside the circle, one of which was a war against Taiki Naito.

Superlek and Naito faced off in the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix quarterfinal in May 2022, with the Thai striker scoring a unanimous decision victory.

The 27-year-old has since beaten Walter Goncalves, Panpayak Jitmuangnon and, most recently, Daniel Puertas to win the vacant flyweight kickboxing belt.

Superlek and Rodtang Jitmuangnon will square off at ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video

The next flyweight kickboxing world title bout is scheduled to co-headline ONE Fight Night 8 on Prime Video in March. The champ is expected to face promotional superstar Rodtang Jitmuangnon as he seeks to become a multi-sport champion.

Earlier this year, ONE CEO Chatri Sityodtong revealed his plans to book the bout that everyone wants to see, telling reporters:

"I think that’s the fight Thailand wants to see, that’s the fight the whole world wants to see, Superlek vs. Rodtang. They would fight eventually, whether it’s Muay Thai or kickboxing. I’m sure they would face each other. These are the two most dangerous strikers."

Rodtang has been eyeing an opportunity to win a world title in another sport besides Muay Thai for quite some time, and he'll have that chance at ONE Fight Night 8. The flyweight Muay Thai king told SCMP MMA:

“I will go 100 percent all in. I am one step closer to the kickboxing belt. Iron Man’s here and I will not disappoint the fans... I will set my goals one by one. First, I will go for the kickboxing belt and next it will be in MMA. I have defended my belt in Muay Thai four times and I think it’s time to move for another belt.”

The pair of champions are two of the very best strikers to come out of Thailand. They will put their skills to the test against one another in what could potentially be one of the highest-level striking bouts that you'll ever see.

Make sure to tune in to ONE Fight Night 8 on March 24 (US primetime) to watch Superlek look to defend his flyweight kickboxing world title against Rodtang, live from the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

All of the action will be broadcast live and for free to Amazon Prime subscribers across North America.
