Stamp Fairtex shared a short story about her father suggesting she start training in Muay Thai.
Stamp has become one of the biggest fan favorites in ONE Championship, with several world championship achievements, including the ONE Women's Atomweight World Grand Prix, the atomweight Muay Thai title, and Atomweight kickboxing world title.
Before the fame and accomplishments, the 25-year-old began Muay Thai because her father thought she could be successful. ONE recently posted an Instagram video where Stamp described the original conversation:
“You should train Muay Thai”
“Why?”
“I think you can be a world champion”
“Okay…”

Stamp made her ONE debut in July 2018, putting everyone on notice with a 19-second knockout in MMA. She then showed off her versatility with a kickboxing win before returning to MMA. The Fairtex fighter would only fight in kickboxing two more times, a loss against Janet Todd in February 2020 and a recent win against Anna ‘Supergirl’ Jaroonsak in January.
Meanwhile, Stamp’s primary focus was on MMA and Muay Thai. She holds a promotional MMA record of 9-2 and a Muay Thai record of 2-1. After beating ‘Supergirl’ in kickboxing, the 25-year-old will fight under MMA rules for her next appearance in the circle.

What’s next for Stamp Fairtex?
In March 2022, Stamp Fairtex lost to Angela Lee at ONE X with the atomweight MMA world championship on the line. She got back on track several months later by defeating Jihin Radzuan with a unanimous decision. Stamp will now take on Alyse Anderson at ONE Fight Night 10 on Prime Video.
Anderson holds a promotional record of 1-1, with her last fight being a first-round submission win against Asha Roka. The American is looking to make a statement at ONE Fight Night 10, which will be ONE’s first event held in North America. The historic fight card goes down on May 5 and can be watched for free by North American Prime Video subscribers.
