Thai star Thongpoon PK Saenchai halted a two-fight skid with an impressive knockout victory over three-sport campaigner Danial Williams, which saw him packing heat in dismantling the Australian fighter.

The two collided in a strawweight Muay Thai clash at ONE Fight Night 26: Lee vs. Rasulov on Dec. 6 at the Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with the goal of notching a victory to steady their respective ships after hitting rough waves of late.

Thongpoon had a spirited back-and-forth against Williams in the opening round before he picked things up in the second stanza. He connected a solid right hand midway into the round that open 'Mini T' and dropped to the canvas. Williams immediately got back up only to find himself on the mat again moments later from a nasty right.

It all came to an end at the 1:10 mark of the second when Williams dropped to the canvas for the third and final time, victim of another right hand from the Thai star.

The victory saw Thongpoon returning to the win column after dropping his two previous matches against Moroccan Zakaria El Jamari and Portuguese Rui Botelho in May and October, respectively. He was also rewarded a $50,000 performance bonus by ONE Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong for the impressive win.

Williams, meanwhile, slid back to a loss after winning his last match. Apart from Muay Thai, the Perth native also competes in MMA and kickboxing under ONE Championship.

'Hungry' Thongpoon delivers amid pressure at ONE Fight Night 26

Thongpoon PK Saenchai's victory at ONE Fight Night 26 on Dec. 6 was a fulfillment of what he had set to do heading into the event, knowing the need to get a win to turn things around for him.

The Thai star lost in his previous two fights, leaving his back against the wall as he took on Danial Williams in their strawweight Muay Thai clash last week. He responded with a dominant TKO victory by way of three scored knockdowns in the second round.

Thongpoon shared his thoughts on the significance of the Williams match in a pre-fight interview with ONE Championship, saying:

"For this fight, I am hungry for victory because if I lose again, it will affect my future in ONE. In other words, my back is against the wall right now."

The victory at ONE Fight Night 26 took Thongpoon's record in ONE Championship to 5-2, with four of his wins coming by way of knockout.
