Watch: Zhilei Zhang issues a cryptic callout to Daniel Dubois minutes after latter knocks out Anthony Joshua

Zhilei Zhang recently sent a mysterious message to Daniel Dubois following his knockout victory over Anthony Joshua. Zhang lauded Dubois and hinted at a possible fight between the two.

This past Saturday at Wembley Stadium, Dubois stunned everyone by winning the IBF heavyweight title in a fight against Joshua. The 34-year-old's history of fighting against top boxers in title fights made him a significant betting favorite going into the match.

However, Dubois dominated the fight, knocking down the former champion on multiple occasions before finishing him off in the fifth.

Following the fight, Zhang took to social media to congratulate Dubois on his victory. The Chinese heavyweight also hinted at a potential fight against Dubois, saying:

Notably, before the Joshua vs. Dubois fight, during an interview with FightsATW, Zhang was asked about his prediction for the fight. In response, the 41-year-old seemed to lean toward Dubois, saying:

''I look at the process over the years. When you look at AJ’s previous opponents, giving them all respect, they aren’t at this level as of yet. AJ hasn’t been practicing his craft in the ring, and he’s been finishing them off in one or two rounds. But when you look at Dubois, he’s fought tougher opponents (Jarell Miller, Filip Hrgovic, etc.), and those are really learning experiences. When it comes to experience, Dubois has more than AJ with the last few fights.”

Following Dubois' win against Joshua, Zhang was asked by FightsATW, if he wanted to face the 27-year-old next. He replied:

''Hell yeah''

As for Zhang, in his last boxing outing at the Matchroom vs. Queensberry boxing event this June, he squared off against Deontay Wilder and secured a fifth-round knockout victory.
