The UFC returns to pay-per-view on Saturday, April 8, when they host UFC 287 at the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida.

Since the event takes place in the United States, the pay-per-view will return to the 10 pm ET timeslot. It is also a significant event for the city of Miami as it marks the promotion's first pay-per-view in the city since 2003.

The star-studded event will be headlined by the highly anticipated rematch between Israel Andesanya and middleweight champion Alex Pereira. The rivalry dates back to their kickboxing careers, with Pereira winning both, while the second fight being a knockout. He proved that he has 'Izzy's number in MMA, as he rallied late and defeated him via fifth-round TKO to become the new middleweight champion last year.

The pay-per-view will be a homecoming for Jorge Masvidal, who has become one of the biggest stars in the promotion. He will look to snap his losing skid when he fights former welterweight title challenger Gilbert Burns in the co-main event. 'Durrinho' could make a strong case for a future title shot should he earn a decisive win over 'Gamebred' and extend his winning streak.

Other fights scheduled for the pay-per-view in Miami include Rob Font vs. Adrian Yanez in a bantamweight bout, Kevin Holland vs. Santiago Ponzinibbio in a welterweight bout, and another bantamweight bout in the opener between Christian Rodriguez and Raul Rosas Jr.

Will Alex Pereira retain his UFC middleweight championship against Israel Adesanya?

Alex Pereira and Israel Adesanya will add another chapter to their combat sports rivalry as they compete for the fourth time at UFC 287.

The reigning middleweight champion has defeated 'Stylbender' in all three of their bouts. He earned a unanimous decision in their first kickboxing bout in 2016 and followed that up with a knockout win in their rematch a year later. 'Poatan' then transitioned to MMA and in only his eighth pro fight, defeated 'Izzy' for a third time to become the new middleweight champion.

It will be interesting to see what adjustments both fighters make, especially considering how familiar they are with one another's tendencies by now.
