Where is the UFC fight this weekend taking place?

The UFC is headed back to Abu Dhabi, UAE for its next pay-per-view (PPV) card, UFC 280: Oliveira vs. Makhachev. The event will take place at Yas Island's Etihad Arena tonight, October 22, with a series of high-profile matchups to look forward to.

The card will be headlined by a much-anticipated showdown between two of the best lightweights in the world as Charles Oliveira takes on Islam Makhchaev. The pair will battle it out with the vacant lightweight title on the line.

Oliveira will enter the bout looking to reclaim his lightweight throne after being stripped of the title for missing weight against Justin Gaethje at UFC 274.

Makhachev, on the other hand, will be determined to bring the 155lbs crown back to Dagestan as he gets his first shot at the title. Both fighters are riding a combined 21-fight unbeaten streak into this matchup which promises to be an exhilarating spectacle.

The co-main event of will also feature a championship bout as bantamweight king Aljamain Sterling puts his title on the line against former two-time 135-pound titleholder T.J. Dillashaw.

'Funk Master' cemented his place as a true bantamweight champion by edging out Petr Yan in their rematch last April. The champion will now look to make a second successful defense of his crown.

Dillashaw, meanwhile, returned to action last July and scored a split decision win over a game Cory Sandhagen. The Californian will aim to become a three-time bantamweight champion.

In another thrilling bantamweight battle, former champion Petr Yan will go to war with the highly-touted Sean O'Malley. This is a pivotal matchup in the 135-pound division, with the winner potentially getting the next shot at whoever comes out victorious in tonight's co-main event.

The card will also play host to a marquee lightweight contest as the No.6-ranked lightweight contender Beneil Dariush takes on the No.9-seeded Mateusz Gamrot.
