Flyweight talent Jeff Molina recently found himself in the spotlight due to a leaked video where he was seen performing an NSFW act. The UFC fighter was forced to come out after the leak to discuss his sexual orientation on social media.

'El Jefe' initially came under criticism from homophobic MMA fans for sporting PRIDE-themed UFC shorts in his last octagon outing against Zhalgas Zhumagulov.

Molina claimed he was straight going into the fight, which he went on to win via unanimous decision. However, 'El Jefe' must have gone through a lot of turmoil in the past few days as a video of him getting intimate with another male went viral on the internet.

Jeff Molina subsequently came out as bisexual in a lengthy Twitter rant while expressing concerns about how the news will be received by a largely homophobic MMA fraternity. The 25-year-old wrote:

“TLDR: im bi. Not the way I wanted to do this but the chance to do it when I was ready was taken from me. I’ve tried to keep my dating life private from social media."
"The thought of my buddies, teammates, and ppl [sic] I look up to looking at me different let alone treating me different for something I can’t control was something I couldn’t fathom. In a sport like this where a majority of the fans being the homophobic c***suckers they are I didn’t see myself doing this during this part of my career.”

Jeff Molina is currently suspended from the UFC

Jeff Molina was banned by the UFC and the Nevada State Athletic Commission in January for "substantial" involvement in a betting scandal involving coach James Krause.

Krause, who is also a known betting expert, came under investigation after suspicious line movement was seen in the lead-up to a fight between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke. According to a report by ESPN, Jeff Molina actively encouraged people to join a betting group run by James Krause, which 'El Jefe' compared to "insider trading." He reportedly wrote to the group:

"He’s trained w/ a lot of the fighters, lives and breathes this sport as a coach/fighter, & at times has the scoop on injuries — non-announced matchups — how fighters look like in camp, etc. In stocks, this is called insider trading, in MMA betting it’s called James Krause."
