During a Q&A with Palestine In America, Muhammad discussed the inspiration behind his nickname and revealed that he wanted his moniker to be more realistic instead of something outlandish.

The 36-year-old also explained that he wants MMA fans to tune into his fights for his exciting style:

"You have some guys who always have some stupid nicknames like 'crazy horse' or something dumb. I didn’t want to come up with one of those. I wanted something real. I want to be remembered. I want people to remember the name. When my name is on the card, people are going to tune in because they know what type of fighter I am. They know I’m exciting and I’m going to bring a fight every single time."

Muhammad fought his way to a dominant unanimous decision victory against former champion Leon Edwards to capture the 170-pound title. Muhammad displayed excellent striking and wrestling to nullify Edwards' skill set, delivering one of the most title-winning performances in recent years.

While Maddalena, his next opponent, is primarily considered a striker, he has held his own against elite grapplers such as Gilbert Burns. This adds another layer of intrigue to the matchup.
