Conor McGregor stepped into Floyd Mayweather's domain, the squared circle, on August 26, 2017. The bout was an enormous financial success for both fighters, but the Irishman realized far less success during the bout itself.

After making a strong start, McGregor began to tire in the middle rounds, and there was little he could do to stop Mayweather's barrage of punches before the referee stopped the fight in round 10.

Joe Rogan, a longtime commentator for the UFC, recently shared the reasons he believes McGregor lost during an episode of The Joe Rogan Experience with Jorge Masvidal. According to Rogan, 'The Notorious' lacked the composure to dominate Floyd Mayweather in the ring:

"He just wasn't composed enough to go ten rounds with one of the greatest of all time. Conor could've been a great boxer. He could've been a great boxer. He's got a tremendous uppercut, too. The uppercut he caught Floyd with and he snapped Floyd's head with. Floyd was like, 'Okay.' That was legit. He just wasn't composed enough to go ten rounds with one of the greatest of all time."

Conor McGregor claims that Floyd Mayweather broke the terms of their original rematch agreement

Conor McGregor vs. Floyd Mayweather 2 was set to take place in the octagon following their highly-anticipated boxing match in 2017, according to 'The Notorious'. He stated that Mayweather broke the terms of their original agreement when he backed out of an MMA fight with the Irishman. However, McGregor appears eager to even the score in the squared circle as opposed to the octagon, and is still open to a rematch.

'The Notorious' recently appeared on Fox Sports, and shed light on the possibility of a rematch with Floyd Mayweather, saying:

"That was the original, you know it was a verbal agreement - [If] I box him, [then] he fights me. But he didn't honor it. He didn't honor it yet. Who knows. I would go against him in another boxing bout, I'd like another crack at it... I could always say it's going to be a boxing fight and then bend the rules a little when I'm in there."
