'The Kicking Machine' is coming off a ground-breaking victory over Jonathan Haggerty during the main event of ONE 168: Denver last Sept. 6, where he scored a 49-second knockout win to capture the ONE bantamweight Muay Thai world title.

Superlek produced this incredible victory in front of the sold-out Ball Arena crowd in Denver, Colorado.

Superlek defends his ONE bantamweight Muay Thai gold against Nico Carillo at ONE 170

Four months after his win over 'The General,' the Kiatmoo9 Gym representative will now put his bantamweight Muay Thai crown on the line on January 24, where he takes on the challenge of number two-ranked contender Nico Carrillo at ONE 170 inside the Impact Arena in Bangkok, Thailand.

Ahead of that world championship clash, Superlek talked to combat sports journalist Andrew Whitelaw, and he revealed that he is not scared of 'The King of the North' despite the one-shot knockout power the Scotsman carries.

Part of the quote he said to Whitelaw read:

"I'm not scared of guys like this. I like to fight guys with this style, and I like new challenges too."
