Tristan Tate has been banned from Instagram since early 2023 but is coming around to his opinion of Mark Zuckerberg. As the CEO of Meta, Instagram's parent company, Zuckerberg recently began to enforce stricter community guidelines for his platforms that Tate's account did not follow.
Regardless, when Zuckerberg received criticism from Jake Shields on X for a recent interview the 40-year-old conducted admitting his growing favor of Donald Trump, Tate stood in his defense. Tate tweeted his argument, believing he has seen Zuckerberg "learn and evolve."
Tate wrote:
"I respectfully disagree Jake. I think that Zuck is becoming cool. Men can grow, learn and evolve. Men can change their minds. He made bad decisions when he was younger than I am but I haven't seen anything come out of him recently that reflects that. I'm still banned BTW."

In the video, Zuckerberg told a reporter he felt that not backing either Trump or Joe Biden was a decision that he regrets. Like many others, the Meta CEO admitted that he was swayed by the visual of Trump rising to his feet after being shot on July 13 and raising a fist.
Shields has become known as one of the most politically outspoken fighters in MMA, a trait that was only heightened after his retirement in 2018.
Why was Tristan Tate banned from Instagram?
When Instagram decided to increase its standards for users of its platform, controversial influencers Andrew Tate and Tristan Tate were among the first to be removed. Meta explained its decision as wanting to create as close to a controversy-free environment as possible for people to utilize without negative emotions.
With the move, Instagram also did its best to cleanse its platform of what it determined to be spam accounts and bots. Since being removed from the app, both Tate brothers have increased their activity on X and pushed for their reinstatement to no avail.
Contrary to the narrative the Tate brothers have pushed, Instagram remains the second-most used social media app in 2024 behind only Facebook. Both Instagram and Facebook are a part of Meta and are owned by Mark Zuckerberg.
