Fans around the globe have been demanding a match between 'The Iron Man' Rodtang Jitmuangnon and 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek Kiatmoo9. These are two highly skilled Muay Thai fighters who compete in the same weight class.

It seemed like the two were destined to meet last year during the ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Grand Prix. Due to weight issues, though, 'The Iron Man' was unfortunately forced to pull out of the tournament.

ONE Championship Chairman and CEO Chatri Sityodtong recently discussed Superlek and 'The Iron Man' potential matchup during the press conference for ONE Fight Night 6 on Prime Video. He said:

"I think that’s the fight Thailand wants to see, that’s the fight the whole world wants to see, Superlek vs. Rodtang. They would fight eventually, whether it’s Muay Thai or kickboxing. I’m sure they would face each other. These are the two most dangerous strikers."

Both of these men will be in kickboxing battles at ONE Fight Night 6 with Rodtang taking on Jiduo Yibu and Superlek facing Daniel Puertas for the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title.

The January 13 fight card will be live and free to watch for North American fans with a Prime Video subscription.

Will fans get to see Rodtang vs Superlek?

On January 13, ONE flyweight Muay Thai world champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon will be stepping once more into the world of kickboxing. At ONE Fight Night 6 he is booked to fight China's 'The Eagle of Yi' Jiduo Yibu.

At the very same event, 'The Kicking Machine' Superlek will face Spain's Daniel Puertas for the vacant ONE flyweight kickboxing world championship in the co-main event slot.

If both 'The Iron Man' and Superlek are victorious on January 13, it is highly likely that the two will fight later this year with the ONE flyweight kickboxing world title on the line.

Rodtang has already made his intentions clear regarding his goal of earning a kickboxing world title in ONE. While speaking in an interview with Tom Taylor of SCMP MMA, the 25-year-old athlete said:

“I will go 100 percent all in. I am one step closer to the kickboxing belt. Iron Man’s here and I will not disappoint the fans ... I will set my goals one by one. First, I will go for the kickboxing belt and next it will be in MMA. I have defended my belt in Muay Thai four times and I think it’s time to move for another belt.”
