Roberto Soldic believes Anatoly Malykhin's striking could be an issue for Reinier de Ridder.

De Ridder is putting his light heavyweight world title on the line at ONE on Prime Video 5. ‘The Dutch Knight', a submission specialist, has been matched up against the interim heavyweight world champion Malykhin, who has the power to turn anyone’s lights off. During an interview with The MMA Superfan, Soldic, who is also fighting at ONE on Prime Video 5, had this to say about the light heavyweight world championship fight:

“It's an MMA fight, he is very good in MMA and BJJ so he can put that together. But if he stands up, if Anatoly could throw, it's going to be different for De Ridder. But it's a very good fight, very good fight. This card is amazing, this fight is always in the top leagues. 50-50. It's all about the mental thing and the game plan.”

Before De Ridder vs. Malykhin goes down, Roberto Soldic will make his ONE debut against Murad Ramazanov to open the main card. The former two-division KSW champion is looking to make a statement, but Ramazanov, an undefeated Russian grappler, is not an easy opponent.

Roberto Soldic describes Reinier de Ridder’s grappling as "unpredictable"

Reinier de Ridder has finished 11 of his 16 wins by submission. ‘The Dutch Knight’ used his grappling skills to become a two-division titleholder in ONE Championship. Although Anatoly Malykhin has wild knockout power, Roberto Soldic believes De Ridder’s grappling could be the difference-maker:

“He's unpredictable. You cannot see what's coming – D'arce choke or he can take your back. In his last fight, it was the reverse triangle, something like that. You cannot always see this submission. His stand-up is a little bit open but he will always go for the single leg to also try to get the body lock and then go for the back.”

De Ridder has revealed aspirations to eventually move up to heavyweight and make history by becoming a three-division champion. ‘The Dutch Knight’ has an opportunity to show what he can do against an elite heavyweight, considering Malykhin is the interim champion. The light heavyweight title fight will be the main event for ONE on Prime Video 5.
