Julio Arce came out with a boxing-oriented game-plan and executed that to a T.

Arce tagged Ige from long range and continued to work from there. Arce kept pumping out the jab, en route to a dominant decision victory.

Result: Julio Arce def. Dan Ige via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 30-27, 29-28)

#1 Enrique Barzola vs. Matt Bessette

Enrique Barzola took on MMA veteran Matt Bessette in a somewhat contrasting clash of styles.

While Barzola seemed to be highly aggressive, Bessette was content in sitting back and let the fight play out. The latter’s complacency cost him the fight, as Barzola out-pointed his way to an easy victory.

Result: Enrique Barzola def. Matt Bessette via Unanimous Decision (30-27, 29-28, 29-28)


#2 Islam Makachev vs. Gleison Tibau

Islam Makachev made a statement against Gleison Tibau at UFC 220.

Tibau returned after his UFC suspension for his steroid test failure and looked vastly different from the fighter fans have come to know as a wily, tenacious veteran. Makachev caught Tibau with a crushing hook early in the fight; ending it instantly.

Result: Islam Makachev def. Gleison Tibau via KO (Punch) (Round 1, 0:57)
