Colby Covington and Dana White are anything but friends. The two have traded verbal jabs before and it was only a few months ago when Colby Covington controversially filmed Dana White on Instagram Live in a Casino, only for White to instantly shut it down.

When asked about their beef in the UFC 245 press conference, Covington simply said that "Dana recognizes good business" and kept it at that. However, in a recent interview with MMA Fighting, he was asked about Dana White's claims that Covington was the reason that the fight with Kamaru Usman took so long to come together.

It eventually did for UFC 245 but Covington fired back saying that Usman had as much to do with the fight not coming together. Moreover, he said that it was a lowball money offer that made him refuse the fight in the first place:

“Why is it put on me that I didn’t want to fight when you’re getting me a petty, bullsh*t offer when I built this thing up into something bigger than life. It’s a spectacle,” Covington said. “I brought out the president and I wasn’t even fighting.

He said that it's sad that people believe anything that comes out of his mouth:

“It’s sad the narrative he tries to run and what’s even sadder are the fans and the people who actually believe anything that comes out of his mouth.”

Dana White said that at first when Covington refused to fight Usman, he was given the choice of facing Woodley, which he refused. A lot of blame was placed on him but ultimately, that's all water under the bridge at this point.

Covington will be getting set to headline the final UFC card of the year as his grudge feud with Kamaru Usman reaches its boiling point.
