A spectacular clash between UFC strawweight champion, Weili Zhang and former strawweight queen Joanna Jedrzejczyk seems like a done deal. Although the reigning champ was initially uninterested in the fight, her recent post on Instagram is confirmation of the fact that the fight is indeed on. (h/t MMA Fighting)

In response to Jedrzejczyk claiming that she will travel to Zhang's native country China and beat her in a fight, Zhang put up a post on Instagram saying that she is more than ready for the fight.

“She seems very angry? Don’t worry, she will calm down. I am ready now. Call my manager or call Dana White. I’m ready.”

UFC President Dana White recognizes the potential of this match-up and in a screenshot depicting the verbal exchange between the two fighters, White has claimed that the fight will be fun to watch.

Although nothing is confirmed yet, it is clear that UFC is interested in making the fight between Weili and Jedrzejczyk happen. After spectacularly beating Michelle Waterson at UFC Fight Night 161, there is no doubt that the Polish fighter deserves a shot at the title.

With both fighters as well as the President of the promotion on-board, it seems like it is only a matter of time until this super-fight is announced.
