The Ultimate Fighting Championship has announced another blockbuster fight for 2020, as veteran Diego Sanchez is set to make his return to the Octagon against Michel Pereira on the 15th of February after a press release confirmed the bout.
Diego Sanchez's previous fights in the Octagon
Diego Sanchez last competed in the Octagon at UFC 239 when his two-fight winning streak was demolished by division newcomer Michael Chiesa. Sanchez's fight against Chiesa was also the last bout of his previous contract with the promotion and now that the former is once again booked for a fight, it indicates that Sanchez might have signed a new deal with the UFC.
Michel Pereira's last Octagon outings
This past May, Michel Pereira made his UFC debut when he defeated Danny Roberts in under two minutes, however, in his following appearance in the Octagon, Pereira suffered a defeat at the hands of Tristan Connelly after taking the fight on short notice.
Diego Sanchez vs Michel Pereira confirmed for UFC Rancho
As confirmed by the UFC on Twitter, Diego Sanchez will be making his return to the Octagon in early 2020, as he is set for a huge clash against the fast-rising Michel Pereira in Rancho.
