UFC News: Khabib Nurmagomedov assures Tony Ferguson he will 'kill' him fast

Nurmagomedov takes the trash talk to Twitter

Khabib Nurmagomedov has reignited the battle of words between him and Ferguson by taking to Twitter to call Ferguson a "chicken." He began by calling out Ferguson for not wanting to renew his UFC contract, and said, “It’s ok, I kill you fast”.

Not to be left behind, Ferguson said that Nurmagomedov didn't want a fight him in January and then posted pictures of himself with Nurmagomedov and McGregor, saying both of them were asking for an “ass whoopin'”.

Refusing to take this lying down, Nurmagomedov reminded ‘ El Cucuy’ that before their last fight, it was Ferguson who pulled out. Here’s what he tweeted:

The squabble on social media ended, but Ferguson later questioned Nurmagomedov's "padded" record in an interview with Fox Sports.

"I'll take his 24-0 record - it's f**king padded dude. Look at some of the legit fights he's had and then look at mine. I'll take my record over his any day. His record is so padded. He's a paper champ. Get out of here. Khabib's got sambo not wrestling. My wrestling is far superior to his. Forcing somebody to shoot, that puts him into snap down city territory. For me unless you know the detour route to that place, you're not going to survive.”

He went on to trash talk Khabib some more, questioning his way of fighting and willingness to fight.

"Khabib doesn't have hands. I'm going to out box this dude. I'm going to be too slick for him. He's flat footed. I'm going to take this dude apart."

With all the barbs exchanged on social media, the rivalry between these to Lightweight fighters can only be sorted in the Octagon. The winner of this bout then gets a chance at McGregor.
