What's the story?

Israel Adesanya is all set for UFC 234: Whittaker vs Gastelum.

Adesanya is set to face UFC and Mixed Martial Arts legend Anderson Silva in the co-main event at UFC 234. Where other fighters would be tense in the leadup to the fight, the 'Stylebender' Adesanya held true to form and entertained the fans at Melbourne during the Open Workouts by performing a move straight out of a very famous WWE Superstar and Hollywood Star's repertoire.

Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson will certainly have something to say about this.

In case you didn't know...

Israel Adesanya is set to take on Anderson Silva in the upcoming UFC 234 pay-per-view this weekend. The two will fight in the co-main event, as Anderson Silva returns to the Octagon after almost two years. Last time he was in the Octagon, he defeated Derek Brunson.

Also having defeated Derek Brunson at UFC 230, Israel Adesanya is on a roll. Currently 15-0 in his professional Mixed Martial Arts career, he has proved himself by remaining undefeated in the UFC as well.

Entertaining as ever, Adesanya is known for his stunts in the Octagon, as well as the unique offence he brings to the table.

The heart of the matter

While UFC and WWE are intrinsically connected now due to the way performers from both forms of entertainment seem to come over to the other, the styles of fighting are very different.

So, when the UFC star busted open a WWE move during the Open workouts, it took everyone gathered there by surprise. Israel Adesanya performed the 'People's Elbow' on his prone sparring partner.

The move was made famous by Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson and used as his finisher during his time performing in WWE.

What's next?

Given how active The Rock is on social media, expect a reaction from him the moment he sees the move.

On the other side, Adesanya better stick to non-WWE offense when it comes to his upcoming fight against Anderson Silva.
