Frankie Muniz sent a message to doubters following a 14th-place finish at Michigan International Speedway. The actor-turned-NASCAR driver said he vows to continue silencing the doubters amid his rookie campaign in the Craftsman Truck Series.

After win contenders like Ross Chastain and Corey Heim were caught in a multi-car wreck with six laps remaining, Muniz found himself in the top five on the restart. However, the #33 Ford F-150 driver made a mistake approaching the green flag, causing him and those behind him in the bottom lane to fall back.

Frankie Muniz admitted feeling upset about the blunder, but he looked on the bright side, saying he learned from it. The Reaume Brothers Racing driver reflected on his Michigan race on X and wrote:

“What an incredible race! This is why I live for racing—battling side by side with some of the best drivers out there. We had a few heart-stopping moments, but we came through without a scratch on the truck. Finishing in the top 15 at the season’s halfway point is exactly the boost I needed to charge through the rest of the races. I’ve got this. Thank you, @forthepeople (Morgan & Morgan), for the support!”

“I’ll own up to a big mistake when I was running in 3rd place with two laps to go. It stung, but I’ve learned from it, and I’m coming back stronger. As a driver, you’re never satisfied until you’re in victory lane, but this felt like a win. Huge thanks to @rbr_teams (Reaume Brothers Racing) for their relentless hard work every week. Let’s keep silencing the doubters!” he added.

The DQS Solutions & Staffing 250 at Michigan witnessed Stewart Friesen win the caution-filled race, snapping a 72-race winless streak. Grant Enfinger finished second, followed by Luke Fenhaus, Ben Rhodes, and the returning Corey LaJoie.

After 13 races, Frankie Muniz has only scored one top-10 finish, coming from the season-opener at Daytona International Speedway. His six DNFs forced him to sit in the 25th spot in the points standings behind fellow rookie Toni Breidinger.

“Hopefully, I earn respect”: Frankie Muniz on his first full-time schedule in NASCAR

Earlier this year, Frankie Muniz had a strong start to his rookie NASCAR Truck Series campaign with an 11th-place finish at Daytona International Speedway. He was proud of the result and hoped to earn respect throughout the 2025 season.

In an interview with veteran NASCAR reporter Bob Porckass, the Malcolm in the Middle star said:

Muniz was promoted to 10th after NASCAR disqualified the then-race-winner Parker Kligerman for failing the post-race inspection. Corey Heim was declared the winner ahead of rookie teammate Gio Ruggiero and defending series champion Ty Majeski.
