Boonsak Ponsana


Boonsak PONSANA is a male badminton player from Thailand who currently stands in the eighth position in the Badminton rank list. Ponsana started his international career winning a silver medal at the Southeast ASian games Open in 2001. He has won a total of one gold and three silvers at four different Thailand Opens. He has picked up two gold medals at the 2007 and 2012 BWF Super Series; and two silver at the 2009 and 2010 BWF Super Series. He was also the finalist at the 2006 Badminton Asia Championships. in 2008 he won the Indian Open Grand prix and followed it up with a bronze in men's team at the 2009 SEA Games in Laos. His highest ranking to date has been recorded at no. 4 in November 2010. His younger sister Salakjit Ponsana is also part of the Thailand badminton team
