Katulu Ravi Kumar: A Brief Biography
Katulu Ravi Kumar is an Indian weightlifter whose claim to fame is the gold medal he won in the Men\'s 69 kg weightlifting category, at the 2010 Commonwealth Games. K. Ravi Kumar, originally a bodybuilder, took up weightlifting after his trained counselled him to turn his attention towards weightlifting. Three years after that he took part in the 2010 Commonwealth games, and won with a record total of 321 kg, channeling out to be an outstanding performer. K. Ravi Kumar won many State, National, and International awards in this short span of time. He won 3 gold medals in 2009 Commonwealth Games held at Penang, Malaysia. Then in 2010, he won 3 Gold medals in New Delhi Commonwealth games. In 2011, he won 3 bronze medals in senior weightlifting championship at Tongling, China. He also won 3 gold medals in senior weightlifting championship held at Bangalore.
