Sadly, there is no town called Virgin River in Northern California.
But it is still possible to visit the actual locale where they filmed the Netflix series. Although the fictional city is expected to occur in Northern California, all episodes have been shot in Vancouver and British Columbia.
Most scenic views from outside the Virgin River were shot at Snug Cove, Bowen Island, Burnaby, and Port Coquitlam. Other landmarks in the city, such as Jack's Bar, Doc's Clinic, and Mel's Cabin, can be found throughout the Vancouver area.
Conde Nast Traveler says "typical scenes of small towns in the region" are used to draw city maps, with the Welcome to Virgin River turning on the pioneer avenue in Agassiz.
