Al Pacino has set the record straight on his relationship status, saying that he's unattached a year after he welcomed his son, Roman, with producer Noor Alfallah. The never-married Hollywood star clarified that he's not in a romantic relationship with Alfallah, or any other woman, through his representative. When People asked about whether he's in a relationship at the moment, the actor explicitly said, on Monday, October 7:
"No. I have [a] friendship."
His representative also clarified the actor's current relationship with Alfallah. The statement, per People, states:
"Al and Noor are very good friends, have been for years, and are co-parents to their son Roman."
Al Pacino and Noor Alfallah welcomed their son Roman in June 2023, around a year after they were first linked. The Hollywood legend has never been shy about his aversion to marriage. He details in his forthcoming Sonny Boy memoir that marriage, for him, is like "an entrance to the pain train."
He elaborated on the sentiment that marriage can suit others, but he "didn't feel it ever suited [him] for some reason." He further writes:
"Everything's a ticket to the pain train. A ticket or nothing. Are you going to go or not? No, I'll stay here. I'll stay here at the station, I'm not getting on."
Alfallah shared a similar view on marriage, telling TMZ in 2023 that she's "not the marrying type. That said, Al Pacino and Alfallah had remained friends, and according to the New York Post, the actor was present during Alfallah's birthday in September.
Al Pacino's single status confirmation comes after Noor Alfallah was photographed with Bill Maher
Al Pacino speaking out about his romance status with Noor Alfallah came after the latter was photographed on a night out with comedian Bill Maher. Alfallah and Maher were seen leaving the Chateau Marmont in Los Angeles around midnight on Sunday, October 6.
They were spotted exiting the luxury hotel in a black sedan, with the comedian, who was sporting what appeared to be formal attire, driving the car and Alfallah in the passenger's seat. The nature of their visit to the ritzy hotel remains a mystery, and both Alfallah and Maher have yet to comment on it.
However, hours before Noor Aalfallah's encounter with Bill Maher, the former was photographed with the Godfather actor leaving the Chez Mia restaurant in West Hollywood. They were seen driving away in Al Pacino's car, Alfallah was riding in the passenger seat, waving to the photographers.
The Irishman actor kept a low profile wearing a black suit and tie outfit with sunglasses on, despite being nighttime. The two were also seen together on September 25 to celebrate Alfallah's birthday. He reportedly helped her blow out the candles in her massive cake. Al Pacino's representative also told People in September that the pair had worked out a legal custody arrangement for their son.
Noor Alfallah was reportedly granted full physical custody of Roman, but the pair share their son's legal custody. The Scarface actor also reportedly pays $30,000 monthly in child support, not including the judge-mandated $110,000 payment to Alfallah before the monthly payments.
