News of TikTok star Taylor Rousseau Grigg's death started circulating online last week after her husband, Cameron, confirmed her passing at age 25 and shared a tribute on his Instagram. No other details about her death were shared at the time, except that it was "sudden and unexpected."

He also said that Taylor Taylor Rousseau Grigg is donating her organs to those who need them. Cameron Grigg also mentioned that his wife has been in and out of hospital since they married in August of last year but didn't share her diagnosis.

Her family has revealed the cause of her death in a statement to Today on October 11. A family representative confirmed that Rousseau Grigg passed away on October 4 due to complications from asthma and Addison's disease, also known as adrenal insufficiency.


Taylor Rousseau Grigg's family shares tribute in the wake of her passing

Besides her husband's Instagram tribute, the TikTok star's sisters, Trinity Rousseau and Bailey Rousseau Wagner, also went to social media to honor her life.

In an October 6 Instagram post, Bailey shared a carousel of photos of her and Taylor when they were still little kids, including a picture of her late sister with an IV attached to her hand during her last hospital visit. In the caption, she wrote that she is "just not ready to let [Taylor] go" before adding:

"I'll hold you in my heart until I can hold you again in heaven. I promise to do everything in my power to make sure your legacy is carried on."

She followed her initial post with another one featuring Taylor Rousseau Grigg's black-and-white wedding picture and shared details about the organ donation walk in memory of the late TikTok star. Bailey also talked about her sister's hopes of "leaving her mark in this world." They had the Taylor's Honor Walk on Monday, October 7, at 9:30 in the morning.

Trinity Rousseau also shared a lengthy tribute to her late sister on Instagram on October 6. Alongside a carousel of pictures of her, her sister, and their family over the years, she mentioned that she never imagined that she would ever be writing a post addressing her sister's death.

She also mentioned that her sister, whom she referred to as "my gorgeous tay tay," passed away shortly after Trinity celebrated her 19th birthday.

She further wrote:

"Dear sweet sissy, barely short of my 19th birthday, I wish you could be here. It breaks my heart that you won't be at my future wedding, or see me in my wedding dress."

She also mentioned the many things that she will miss about her sister, including seeing her smile or hearing her voice and her laughter. Trinity Rousseau also shared the GoFundMe link that Cameron first shared online, explaining that they "don't have anything financially in order" with the late Taylor Rousseau Grigg's frequent hospital visits.

Per the message on the GoFundMe page, Taylor Rousseau Grigg's family is organizing a benefit in her honor. They have also asked for "everyone's respect and privacy" at this time but mentioned that they will soon share more details about the late TikTok star's benefit that they are trying to organize.
