On Friday, October 13, 2023, BLACKPINK's BORN PINK World Tour 2023 was officially announced as the first and only Asian act to become the highest-grossing tour in the history of K-pop.

The source, Touring Data (@touringdata), an independent resource that reports about BoxScores reporting, worldwide concert grosses, and gives live entertainment information, confirms that BORN PINK raked in over $260.6 million ($260,597,475) in profits.

As per Touring Data, 1,485,245 tickets were reportedly sold throughout the tour. Furthermore, accounting for the average number of tickets sold of 26,522, the average revenue is reportedly $4,653,526 with the average price of each ticket being $175.46. This information is based on 56 of the 66 shows from the Born Pink tour that were properly recorded.

BORN PINK WORLD TOUR shows in North America generated a total profit of $51,280,096 from 14 out of its 19 scheduled shows. In Europe, they raked in $24,878,954 through 10 out of 11 shows, as per reports. Through the shows scheduled in the Asia sub-continent, BLACKPINK made a whopping $164,460,142 from all of its 30 shows.

A total of $19,978,283 of revenue was generated from the two shows in Latin America. Meanwhile, 10 of the remaining shows are yet to be accounted for, which could peak at a total of $260.6 million or even higher.

Furthermore, on September 20, 2023, reporter Kang Sung-hoon of a Korean news site also stated that the quartet earned $265 million (or around 350 billion KRW) throughout their BORN PINK Tour 2023. According to reports, it outpaced Ariana Grande's Sweetener Tour to become the most successful tour held by a female group in the world.

Fans were thrilled and took to social media to celebrate the success of BLACKPINK for becoming the first Asian act to rake in a whopping $260.6 million, surpassing the global phenomenon BTS, who had made $245.5 million ($246,512,484) from their 62 shows during their Love: Speak Yourself World Tour (2018–19).

BLACKPINK's BORN PINK World Tour attracted an astounding 1.8 million spectators during the duration of 66 shows spread across a year in 34 locations across the world, according to YG Entertainment executives' report on September 20, 2023. After adding the Coachella and Hyde Park concert attendance, the total rises to 2.11 million.

55,000 people rejoiced when the BORN PINK globe tour began in Seoul in October 2022, according to YG reports. After that, it drew an incredible total of 540,000 music fans to its shows in North America, around 55,000 in Australia, and 215,000 in Europe. Furthermore, a staggering 900,000 individuals from Asia alone attended the shows.

Fans shared their joy on social media over BLACKPINK rewriting history.

At present, it is unclear if all the members have signed their contracts with YG Entertainment, leading to a media frenzy. As a result, the management company has issued a statement stating that negotiations are still ongoing.

Recently, due to the myriad speculations surrounding the K-pop girl group, YG Entertainment's stock price fell by roughly 30% amid rumors that BLACKPINK might not sign a contract renewal with the company.
