CBS’s The Bold and the Beautiful is one of the longest-running soap operas in the world. It still boasts a dedicated and huge worldwide viewer base for a series that premiered in March 1987. Currently in its 37th season, The Bold and the Beautiful centers around the Forrester family, which was said to be involved in the recent death of intern Emma Barber, played by Nia Sioux.

While it was revealed that Nia Sioux had to leave the cast temporarily due to her school commitments, the series ended up killing her off. Fans had continuously suspected the involvement of Thomas, considering how her death unfolded. Now, in season 37 episode 77, Thomas ended up confessing his involvement in Hope's death, confirming longstanding fears.

The narrative itself unfolded a confusing picture. Thomas claimed in the recent episode that he did not kill, nor was he directly involved in the death. Suspicion was initially levied on the character for several reasons. The intern, Barber, knew more information about Thomas’s extramarital affairs than he was comfortable with.

Thomas, portrayed by Matthew Atkinson, claimed that he was present at the time when Emma met her tragic death. Known to have been involved in a high-speed chase, Emma was revealed to have received anonymous death threats, which was something Thomas had been guilty of in the past as well.

Regardless, in a conversation with Hope, portrayed by actress Annika Noelle, Thomas claimed that he was at the scene when Emma died. While he claimed that he was not directly involved, Forrester’s reputation precedes himself.

One of the most notable villains in the series in recent seasons, Thomas has been seen committing a range of crimes in his bid to protect baby Beth, who had been proclaimed dead to a range of family members. However, considering how Steffy had protected Thomas in recent episodes, especially in front of Finn, Thomas’s confession was a long time coming.

It adds another layer of tension in his relationship with Hope and also means that Steffy and Finn might end up in another altercation in the coming time.

Regardless, while Thomas himself did not confess to the murder, it only seems to be a matter of time before his direct involvement is revealed. At the same time, considering the show has seen a range of more dramatic comebacks, Nia Sioux might as well not be dead and return to The Bold and the Beautiful.

The actress, who is only 22 years old, has had to leave the cast due to school commitments, which led to her character being killed off. However, once the commitments are over, fans can potentially expect a dramatic return to The Bold and the Beautiful. How the showrunners introduce Sioux back to the fold will remain to be seen.

New episodes of The Bold and the Beautiful can be watched on CBS and Paramount+. Recently, returning to its usual slot of 12:30 pm Central Time, which expected to stay the same in the near future.
