During her October 13 appearance on Good Morning America, Taylor Swift announced two new ventures. The first, titled The End of an Era, is a six-part behind-the-scenes docuseries focusing on the "development, impact, and inner-workings" of the historic Eras Tour.

The second, titled The Final Show, is a concert film that marks the introduction of the Tortured Poets Department era during the Eras Tour. Swift released the album in April 2024 and dedicated a new era in her tour to the new album. This part was not included in her original Eras Tour movie.

"People like to talk about phenomenons. Almost as if it were pieces falling into place. As if it just happened. The Eras Tour wasn’t when all the pieces fell into place. This tour was just when every single one of us who had done so much work, pushing inch-by-inch, to where we all clicked together. The only thing left is to close the book."

The video also includes scenes of Taylor Swift getting prepared for the tour, including her fiance Travis Kelce's behind-the-scenes moments. Kelce notably made an appearance on stage during Swift's London stop at Wembley Stadium, where he carried her in his arms during the Tortured Poets Department era.

Taylor Swift's docuseries will feature multiple other superstars, including Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Gracie Abrams, all of whom featured once or more times in her Eras Tour. Fans will see exclusive glimpses of their backstage moments in the series. Two episodes of the show will be released each week starting December 12, which is also a day before Swift's birthday.

Speaking during the sneak peek, Swift added:

"I’ll not be able to get to sleep, cuz I can’t, like, come down until I’ve watched tons of TV, I get room service in bed, I sign a box of 2,000 CDs and then I’m tired… and then I do the whole thing again."
