The Traitors season 2: How many traitors are there?

The Traitors US returned to screens with season 2 this week. It aired its first three episodes on Peacock on Friday, January 12, 2024, and was quite eventful. Throughout the episodes, fans witnessed clashes, conflicts, and more.

One of the many highlights of the show so far was finding out who all the traitors were. While the number of traitors remains the same as that in season 1, they were chosen slightly differently, and so far, they're on a murder spree.

Three of the 21 contestants on the show are traitors. While the show's host, Alan Cumming, selected two traitors, Dan Gheesling and Phaedra Parks chose Survivor's Parvati Shallow as a part of their gang.

The RHOA star, Big Brother mastermind, and Survivor legend team up in The Traitors season 2

During the first three episodes of The Traitors season 2, three traitors were revealed. In the first episode, the cast members competed in team challenges and more. After which, they gathered at the roundtable for deliberation.

However, before the roundtable, Alan Cumming spoke to each of the cast members separately to get a better idea of their strategy. While Dan noted that he only came to the show to be one of the traitors, Sandra dared the host to make her one.

While Peter told him that he didn't want to be "the loudest voice" in the game as part of his strategy, Deontay compared the Peacock show to boxing and said that it was the "same business."

At the roundtable, The Traitors season 2 contestants were blindfolded as Alan went around in a circle a few times. He sneakily tapped two cast members on the shoulders, noting that they were the chosen ones.

Alan warned them that the chosen ones would pick their first victim that night and that they were also going to pick the third team member themselves. At the table, the cast of season 2 started deliberating about who they thought got the tap.

Larsa pointed a finger at Parvati, while Janelle told some of the cast members that if she was killed first, they must suspect John. Love Island celebrities were at odds, as Ekin-su believed Bergie was acting suspiciously.

Later in the episode, Phaedra considered picking The Challenge star CT as part of the team, while Dan's list of recruits included Janelle, Parvati, and Sandra. Later, the two traitors were revealed to one another before they recruited someone. They burst out laughing, noted that they were the "perfect pair," and praised each other for the pretense they put on throughout the day.

They deliberated and discussed that they could use Survivor alum Parvati as she would be a good shield, while Janelle was "tough and loyal." However, Larsa Pippen's name was also in the mix, as they wanted to keep her and Marcus Jordan from teaming up. They ultimately picked Parvati.

The Traitors US season 2 will return next week with a brand new episode on Friday, January 18, 2024, on Peacock.
