Daystar co-founder and President Joni Lamb has refuted the allegations by her son, Jonathan Lamb, and his wife, Suzy. On November 19, the couple announced via X that they “no longer work” at the Christian TV network and had evidence regarding abuse inside the company.

An online religious publication called The Roys Report made the accusations public on behalf of Jonathan and Suzy Lamb. The report claimed that a Daystar employee, who happens to be their male relative, s*xually assaulted their daughter multiple times between 2020 and 2021.

Additionally, the pair claimed that Joni Lamb and her late husband and former President of Daystar, Marcus Lamb, tried to protect the family member and did not inform law enforcement about the alleged abuse. Instead, they conducted an internal investigation and concluded “no wrongdoing.”

Amid these allegations, Joni Lamb issued a statement on Daystar’s YouTube channel. She claimed that the decision to “terminate” Jonathan was “not taken lightly.” She said it was based on a “15-month review” of his “performance” and his refusal to take any steps to satisfy a detailed performance improvement plan put in place.

“He also refused my offer to participate in a formal mediation to resolve grievances in a biblical and professional manner. Rather than take any steps to improve his performance at Daystar, it seems clear now that Jonathan was focused on fabricating a smear campaign,” Joni Lamb continued.

Ms. Lamb alleged that Jonathan had hoped to succeed his father as Daystar President and was left “extremely disappointed” when she was named the successor instead. She added that the equation worsened when she remarried Dr. Doug Weiss in 2023.

Joni further shared that the current situation was "truly heartbreaking" for her as she loved all her family, including her children and grandchildren.

She also mentioned that she has spent her life dedicating it to "spreading the love of Jesus," and the "attack" from her son and daughter-in-law was unwarranted and will be dealt with in "god-honoring" legal terms. Ms. Lamb assured that all the allegations were "completely false."
