Here are a few interesting observations from the very first episode of AEW Dynamite on TNT

From Jack Hager (formerly known as Jack Swagger) joining forces with a possible dominant heel faction to Jon Moxley sabotaging Kenny Omega during the main event of the night, AEW Dynamite's debut on TNT was an extremely interesting start indeed.

A large part of the show's success can be owed to hardcore AEW fans, who made us believe that Professional Wrestling can still be the coolest thing in 2019.

But the episode itself had a lot of major takeaways for the next few weeks as well.

Here are a few interesting observations from the very first televised episode of 'AEW Dynamite':

#3 It set clear boundaries between two distinct heel and babyface factions

If there is one thing I really loved in terms of storytelling last night, it was the fact that we got to witness a distinct divide amongst the AEW roster right away.

People have been talking about how the first episode of AEW Dynamite reminded them of WCW Nitro in a lot of similar ways, and factions were a huge stamp back in the day as well.

The Elite (Kenny Omega, Matt & Nick Jackson), Hangman Page & Cody Rhodes are clearly the biggest babyfaces and original trademarks of AEW, and their rabid fanbase never ceases to grow.

On the other hand, Chris Jericho, LAX, Jack Hager, Sammy Guevara amongst others seem to be on the other side of the fence in this case.

We might have witnessed the birth of a new heel faction last night, and if the things are looking to go the way they are, we might be in for some entertaining showdowns in the next few weeks.

With the Tag Team Tournament kicking off next week, there are going to separate feuds and subplots along the way, but in the end, a dominant war between two factions might be the show's biggest attraction in the future.

#2 Does AEW's Women's Division need something engaging to succeed?

'Nyla Rose vs. Riho' was an entertaining match to watch last night, as Riho became the first-ever AEW Women's World Champion to great fanfare.

However, the AEW Women's Division lacks a certain element in some form.

Riho as world champion quickly cuts off room for building up the 'chase', which is a term for situations where the babyface fights against a heel champion to win the gold. Additional conflicts are created in this way, which keeps the product fresh and entertaining.

While the male roster has a lot of well-known names to build up the division, the same cannot be said for AEW's female roster.

But this shouldn't be a huge problem unless the creative crew come up with fresh and original ways to spice up the Women's division, and while it is too early to tell at this point, the show's strengths primarily lie towards their main event scene so far.

#1 It will be interesting to see how Kenny Omega's 'slow heel turn' subplot will factor into the show

I mentioned how a war between two factions might be AEW's biggest attraction yet, but it seems as if an unprecedented event could change the course of future episodes.

Fans who follow Being The Elite are aware of Kenny Omega's slow descent into madness.

The character's recent losses might have had something to do in this case.

But if Kenny Omega does eventually drift apart from the rest of The Elite, the entire landscape of the show might change.

Will Kenny Omega jump ship and join the bad guys, or will he keep feuding against Jon Moxley in the long run?

Whatever the case may be, Kenny Omega and Jon Moxley's backstage brawl subplot reminded us of how this feud stands apart from the rest of the programming - Jon Moxley is his own man, and this situation seems to be Kenny Omega's personal matter after all.

On a side note, how great was it to hear Tony Schiavone's voice on commentary last night?
