#2: Dr. Britt Baker's identity as a heel dentist literally played out during the show
Dr. Britt Baker faced a returning Yuka Sakazaki on AEW Dynamite this week.
Surprisingly, Sakazaki scored an upset victory over Baker. But when you think about it, Baker's loss is all part of her current storyline where she turned heel because of in-ring disappointment in the first place.
Sakazaki's victory was an elaborate setup for what happened after the match. Baker would literally knock the teeth out of her opponent's mouth.
This was an example of clever booking on AEW's part. Since Dr. Britt Baker isn't an inspirational babyface dentist anymore, the heel side of her character's profession involved removing the teeth out of an opponent's mouth during the show.
Say what you want about Britt Baker's heel personality on the microphone, but it is apparent that AEW are trying hard to get her over as an important establishment for the future of the AEW Women's Division.
Nyla Rose is feuding with Riho for the title at the moment. If Baker continues to improve as each week passes by, she could become the new AEW Women's World Champion very soon.
