Unlike many MMA competitors, Ronda Rousey never hid her love of professional wrestling. This is in spite of the prevailing attitude among mixed martial arts that pro wrestlers are 'fakes' who take attention and money away from more deserving 'real' athletes.
Ronda even adopted the nickname 'Rowdy' out of respect for Roddy Piper, whom she idolized. Her jacket actually once belonged to Hot Rod, and his children passed it off to Ronda as a token of respect.
No one could have predicted just how well Rousey has adapted to the WWE ring. With her combat sports background already making her a legend in one arena, it's no doubt she will end up even more legendary in wrestling.
