Are Cody and The Young Bucks about to unite several indy promotions?

What's the story?

Cody Rhodes, The Young Bucks, Brandi Rhodes and Adam 'Hangman' Page had a ton of announcements at their 'Double or Nothing Rally' but one of the major ones was a partnership between All Elite Wrestling and Chinese promotion OWE. However, new rumors suggest more partnerships with several other top independent promotions could be in the works.

In case you didn't know...

During the rally several announcements were made; Pac, Chris Jericho, MJF, Joey Janela, Penelope Ford Britt Baker and SCU had all signed, there would be equal pay between men and women, 'Double or Nothing' would be at Las Vegas and finally there's the partnership with OWE.

OWE are a Chinese based wrestling promotion started by CIMA, an independent wrestler who was most recently seen during PWG's 'Battle of Los Angeles' tournament where he was a standout performer. As part of the agreement, OWE's 'Stronghearts' will be competing for All Elite Wrestling.

The heart of the matter

The OWE partnership is a really exciting thing because the 'Stronghearts' look like phenomenal talents and it's usually always exciting when two wrestling promotions work together. But it allegedly doesn't stop there for AEW.

Twitter user KWK_Shawnng revealed that he'd spoken to someone within OWE and was told the following things.

As you can see this OWE allegedly revealed that AEW and OWE would also be working with US-based Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Japanese promotions Wrestle-1 and DDT Pro Wrestling and AAA, a Mexican Lucha Libre promotion.

Now, these partnerships are interesting because they would suggest that AEW is moving further away from New Japan Pro Wrestling, given that they're allegedly partnering with two of NJPW's competitors in DDT Pro and Wrestle-1.

PWG would make sense given that one of its owners, Excalibur, who provided commentary for 'All In' has been linked with AEW as a commentator too. AAA doesn't really make sense given that DDT Pro has a relationship with Crash in Mexico and not AAA, but who really knows.

What's next?

It's not clear who the Twitter user KWK_Shawnng is or how accurate they've been in the past with these things, or how accurate the information is from this alleged 'OWE personnel' but if any of this is true, it's incredibly exciting for AEW and the wrestling world as a whole!
