What's the story?

With free agency in full swing, several superstars are finishing up prior commitments before they find a new home.

According to Fightful.com via a report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, independent stars Sammy Guevara and Kylie Rae are both expected to sign with All Elite Wrestling in the near future.

In case you didn't know...

Sammy Guevara has been an independent standout for the past few years. He's had runs with AAA, Major League Wrestling and Lucha Underground. He also competed in for Impact Wrestling briefly in 2017.

Kylie Rae has wrestled many notable women, including the likes of Tessa Blanchard, Solo Darling and Santana Garrett on the indie scene. She has wrestled for Rise, AAW and Stardom.

The heart of the matter

Guevara is a fast-rising star in the professional wrestling business due to his high-flying nature, striking ability and his years of wrestling experience while only 25.

The report from the Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentioned that Guevara and Kylie Rae are expected to sign with AEW and that Guevara's potential signing with AEW has made him 'difficult to book in the United States after reportedly cancelling a number of appearances'.

Fightful.com's report also revealed that Chuckie T (Chuck Taylor) and Beretta, better known as 'Best Friends' in both Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling, are finishing up their dates with NJPW this weekend.

Best Friends have plenty of experience with the Young Bucks and the Elite.

The duo is also expected to sign with AEW once their dates with NJPW and other companies are wrapped up. Rhodes and the Young Bucks faced 'Best Friends' many times while with ROH.

The rumored signings of Rae, Guevara and the team of 'Best Friends' go along with Cody Rhodes proclamation to 'sign fresh talent rather than rely on older legends', but every company tries to sign young talent.

A ticket announcement party is being held by the Elite next Thursday, February 7, 2019, and the report noted that Brandi Rhodes said she'd 'be bringing a couple new female talents with her'.

What's next?

A lot will become clearer at the next public event All Elite Wrestling is hosting in the form of the ticket announcement party.

They revealed a few signings at the rally in Jacksonville that took place near a SmackDown event. These potential signings, as well as some others, might be announced.

The announcement of another huge free agent may also be showcased should Kenny Omega opt to sign with his friends rather than go elsewhere. Stay tuned.
