Rudo Lightning became the first 2-time winner of the Square Go match.

The Square Go! Match is a 30 man Battle Royal that awards its winner the Square Go Briefcase that gives the opportunity to be a contender for the ICW World Heavyweight Champion. The winner of this edition was Rudo Lightning, a former ICW World Heavyweight Champion. He came in at #2 and eliminated Ravie Davie (#4), Sha Samuels (#26) and Joe Hendry (#30). This last elimination was the one that gave him the victory. Rudo Lightning has become the only wrestler to win Square Go! twice after winning the first edition in 2012.

BT Gunn, the first ICW Triple Crown Championship (he has been three times ICW World Heavyweight Champion, three times ICW Tag Team Champion and once ICW Zero-G Champion) came in at #20. He eliminated Mark Coffey (#13) and Kez Evans (#16) but was eliminated by the latter. For its part, Stevie Boy, the other ICW Triple Crown Championship, didn’t participate in this edition.

The two surprising appearances of this Battle Royal beyond the usual ICW roster were Jimmy Havoc (#19) and Jeff Jarrett (#29). Havoc is popular for having become one of the world leaders of the Deathmatch style. It wasn’t a good night for the former Progress World Champion because he didn’t eliminate anyone and was eliminated by Jackie Polo. The WWE Hall of Famer, for its part, managed to eliminate Grado before being also eliminated by Jackie Polo.

Jack Jester (#21), Wolfgang (#23), Grado (#28) and Jackie Polo (#24) were the other former ICW World Heavyweight Champions who participated in this eighth edition. Both Grado and Polo were eliminated by Hendry. Jester eliminated Chief Deputy Dunne (#25), but was eliminated by Wolfgang, who also eliminated two favorites such as Kenny Williams (#11) and Iestyn Rees (#12), but was eliminated by Liam Thomson (#1).

Kenny Williams, three times ICW Zero-G Champion, was one of the favorites to win the match but he could only eliminate Leyton Buzzard (#3) before being eliminated by Wolfgang.

Although he couldn’t win the match, Hendry became the wrestler with the highest number of eliminations. 'The Prestigious One' eliminated Liam Thomson, Andy Wild (#15), Kieran Kelly (#17), Viper (#22), Jackie Polo and Aaron Echo (#27). Mark Coffey (# 13) was the second with the highest number of eliminations. Joey Coffey's brother eliminated Paxxo (#6), Jack Morris (# 9), Alexander Darwin MacAllan (#10) and Krieger (#14).

Although it’s not officially confirmed, we will most likely watch Lionheart defend the ICW World Heavyweight Championship against Rudo Lightning at ICW So’s Yer Maw 2, the next big ICW event that will take place on April 7.
