Impact News: Dixie Carter confirms her status with Impact Wrestling

It

Dixie Carter is still around... to a certain extent

What's the story?

Impact Wrestling has been through a number of changes since the Jarretts first opened the doors. There have been a few different people placed in charge but Dixie Carter is well-known as a crucial piece of Impact's History.

But since Anthem Sports bought Impact Wrestling it seems like Dixie Carter's role with the company has been cut down to nearly nothing. But Carter recently confirmed she's not totally gone just yet.

In case you didn't know...

A lot of people were blamed for the mismanagement of Impact Wrestling but Dixie Carter certainly bore the brunt of many outbursts and rants directed at Impact Wrestling's shortcomings.

When Anthem Sports bought Impact Wrestling and removed Dixie Carter from the forefront many thought she had made her final exit from the company, but it turns out this is not entirely the case.

The heart of the matter

Although it might not be something Impact Wrestling has essentially promoted, Dixie Carter is still with the organization as a minority owner of the company.

When Dixie Cartner posted a picture of herself alongside some other members of the "TNA Braintrust" it got a lot of people talking and wondering what was going on.

One fan went straight to the source and asked Carter what her current involvement with Impact Wrestling is and she was quite open, honest, and succinct in her reply.

What's next?

Impact Wrestling needs to turn it around and at this point, they've found a nice place to do it as well. Canada will continue to give them breaks on costs and Impact needs all the help they can get.

Who knows how far it will go before Dixie Carter is finally brought back to television. Some people might be rolling their eyes, but you never know what can happen in pro wrestling.

Author's take

It shouldn't be surprising that Impact Wrestling is still "Dixie Carter Land" because in a manner of speaking it always will be no matter if she fully leaves the company. Her impact on TNA Wrestling will be felt forever and the pun was intentional there.
