Matt Sydal and Ethan Paige Segment:
Matt said he knew the path of enlightenment through the third eye would bring him success. Ethan talks about how he would be so mad as the old Ethan Paige, but he was taught otherwise by Sydal. Matt wants to teach him how to follow the right path, as the two will face each other one-on-one next week in an Ultimate X Match Qualifier. Ethan Paige says he is ready for the challenge, as Matt Sydal says he is ready to show him the way as they shake hands.
Next up is our main event for tonight's show. Eli Drake vs Tommy Dreamer!
"Singles Match" - Eli Drake vs Tommy Dreamer
We kick things off with Tommy Dreamer connecting with an arm drag takedown, followed up by a hip toss off the ropes. Tommy hits a few chops, then a 10-punch combo in the corner as he bites Eli in the face. Eli with the thumb in the eye, but Dreamer counters with a cutter. Eli Drake rolls out to the arena floor. Eli stays outside the ring and purposely gets himself counted out.
Winner: Tommy Dreamer
Tommy Dreamer is not happy with this decision. Impact officials inform Ring Announcer Josh Matthews the match will be restarted as No Disqualification Match!
“No Disqualification Match” – Tommy Dreamer vs Eli Drake
We come back from break with Dreamer and Eli fighting at the stage entrance area. Dreamer leaves the ringside area and returns with a trash can filled with goodies. He knocks Eli Drake back down the rampway towards the ring. Dreamer dumps out all the weapons, then smacks Drake in the face with a box of donuts. Dreamer then smashes a ring bell into the ribs, then drives the hammer into the ring bell across Eli’s groin area. Dreamer grabs a bottle of water and spews the water in Eli’s face, as they continue fighting on the floor.
He grabs a cane from a fan at ringside, then drags Eli around the ring with the cane wrapped around the nether regions of Eli Drake in comedic fashion. Eli Drake is able to counter back with a snap suplex on the rampway. Eli kicks a traffic cone across the head of Dreamer. Both men reenter the ring. Eli slingshots Dreamer throat first across the bottom rope.
Eli hits Dreamer with several stiff shots, then a neckbreaker by Eli for the cover and a two count. Dreamer hits a clothesline, then a DDT, followed up by the Dusty Rhodes Punch Combo that ends with a Bionic Elbow. Dreamer exits the ring and pulls out a steel chair from under the ring, then tosses in the garbage can. He props the chair up in the center of the ring. Dreamer is driven face first into the chair by Eli Drake, as Drake goes for the cover and gets a near fall.
Eli goes to drive the chair into the face of Dreamer from the top rope, but gets countered with a boot to the face. Eli props the garbage can between the middle and top rope in the corner. Dreamer hits the DDT and gets a near fall. Dreamer goes for the Death Valley Driver, but Eli hits the low blow, then slings Dreamer in the garbage can head first. Eli hits the Gravy Train on Dreamer and gets a near fall, as no one has ever kicked out of the Gravy Train in Impact Wrestling history!
Eli places the chair across the head/neck area of Dreamer. He picks up the boat oar and snaps it in half, as he swings the oar across the chair of Dreamer. This knocks Dreamer out, as Eli pins Tommy for the three count and the victory.
Winner: Eli Drake
Eli Drake celebrates his victory with the Impact Wrestling audience. Eli comes backstage and finds a balloon with his name on it, along with a letter. He reads the letter and is shocked at what he has read, as Impact Wrestling goes off the air for this week with this cliffhanger style ending.
