In Case You Didn't Know…

For those of you who have been shielding yourself away from any news involving David Arquette, The ‘Scream’ and ‘Ready To Rumble’ actor made his miraculous return to professional wrestling back in July.

The 47-year-old has been wrestling heavily on the independent scene. The former WCW World Heavyweight champion has stated that his return inside the squared circle has nothing to do with trying to gain publicity as Arquette grew tired of fans giving him a hard time for his world title win 18 years ago.

Arquette has been wrestling regularly in Championship Wrestling from Hollywood (CWFH). The actor also recently popped up Impact’s One Night Only PPV as he teamed with RJ City to defeat the team of Halal Beefcake (Idris Abraham & Joe Coleman) in Windsor, Ontario, Canada.

The heart of the matter

Arquette had his first Death Match at the Game Changer Wrestling event at LA Confidental show and well, it didn’t go exactly as planned. His opponent, Nick Gage, cracked Arquette in the face with a fluorescent light tube that left deep cuts on his face and throat.

Wrestletalk reports that the actor was immediately transported to the hospital and thankfully the injuries are minor. The actor penned a statement on his social media account, stating that he got injured due to his lack of experience.

Pro Wrestling Sheet spoke with GCW promoter Brett Lauderdale who defended Nick Gage and made it clear that the pro wrestler didn't go into business for himself. He confirms that everything was pre-planned, even though the finish didn't go as planned after David’s neck was accidentally cut.

What’s Next?

Arquette states that he’s looking forward to getting back into the ring in the future, but declares that acting and producing are his main priority and looks forward to sharing some of his new projects in 2019.

It's unknown if the actor will truly return to the square circle, but hopefully, Arquette finally gets the respect from the fans that been he's looking for.
