Austin Aries will square off against Pentagon Jr. and Fenix at the next Impact Wrestling pay-per-view, Redemption, live on pay-per-view on 22nd of April. Aries caught up with media from around the world before the event.

We had a chance to ask him two questions. Here they are for your benefit and reading pleasure.

We had a chance to catch up with your friend Jimmy Jacobs and he said you're at your best as a heel. Is that something you're looking forward to doing in the future?

Austin Aries: You know...as far as that goes, I try to just kind of be myself. I don't try to skew one way or the other. But yeah, at certain times I can dial up my disdain for people. Right now, I'm kinda enjoying being embraced by the people. Right now, I think that's the way to go.

What happens in the future, well, happens in the future. When it's time to put my thumb in somebody's eye it may happen.

Because everyone wrestles a much faster-paced style these days, do you see a distinction between the Heavyweight Division and the X-Division anymore?

Austin Aries: Not necessarily. There are plenty of guys who'll be classified as 'Heavyweights' in various companies who wrestle what we historically call the 'X-Division' style. So, there isn't a huge distinction stylistically, you know? And the thing about the X-Division is unlike other places, there are no weight limits on it.

So, the definition of what it is to me has always been a little confusing. Then again, it's a very important secondary title within the company. Yeah, there are more and more big guys who're working that X-Division style and who knows, maybe they'll get back in there in the future.
